We headed out the next morning for Canton, New York, again taking it easy and stopping to see the sights. I came to a screeching halt when I noticed a beaver lodge with a satellite dish. I don't know if it was some sort of high-tech monitoring device, or a local practical joke. I lean toward the second theory.
